Teveia Rose Barnes currently serves as the independent director on the board of StandardC, which provides banks, credit unions and insurers with a clearinghouse platform to protect against fraud and illegal activity, and to provide ongoing due diligence and compliance in high risk industries.  She is a member of the board of Climate Action Reserve and serves as a member of the audit committee.

Prior to joining StandardC, Ms. Barnes served as Executive Director of the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank (IBank), where she spearheaded programs to finance public infrastructure and private development throughout California. IBank has broad authority to issue tax-exempt and taxable revenue bonds, provide financing to public agencies, provide credit enhancements, and leverage State and Federal funds for infrastructure projects and business development.  IBank’s programs under Ms. Barnes included the Infrastructure State Revolving Fund Loan Program, the California Lending for Energy and Environmental Needs Center, the Bond Financing Program, and the Small Business Finance Center.

Ms. Barnes served as the Commissioner of the California Department of Financial Institutions, the state’s chief regulator of state-chartered depository financial institutions.  She was a partner at Foley & Lardner, LLP and a member of the Finance & Financial Institutions and Business Reorganization Practice Groups.  Her legal career included her role as the Associate General Counsel and Senior Vice President of Bank of America and a member the Policy Committee for the Legal Department.  Ms. Barnes has been a member of the U.S. Bank, Advisory Board of Northern California and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Rice University.

Teveia is a graduate of Rice University and Cohn Scholar, and received her Juris Doctor degree from New York University Law School.
