Mrs. Noel Harwerth currently serves as Chair of the UK Export Finance Board and as Non-Executive member of the UK Department for International Trade Board. Mrs. Harwerth serves as a Non-Executive Director/Partnership Director of Tube Lines Limited, Metronet Rail BCV Limited and Metronet SSL Limited.
She is a member of the advisory board of CHAPS Clearing Company Limited and serves on the board of Standard Life Assurance Limited.
She is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Sirius Minerals Plc and has been Chairman of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited. She was also a non-executive director at the London Metal Exchange, Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance plc and Harry Winston Diamond Corporation. She is the outgoing Chairman of GE Capital Bank Europe, a role she has held since 2011.
Her executive career has included roles as the Chief Operating Officer at Citibank International plc from 1998 to 2003, the Chief Tax Officer of Citigroup, Dun & Bradstreet Corporation and Kennecott Copper Corporation. Mrs. Harwerth was responsible for Infrastructure and Governance of Europe’s first truly pan-European bank, with branches in 18 countries.
She is a citizen of both the USA and the UK and was educated at the University of Texas in Austin and holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Texas Law School.
