Howard E. Steinberg is senior counsel at the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP, where he previously served as a partner. He has served as Chairman of the New York State Thruway Authority, one of the longest toll superhighway systems in the United States and the New York State Canal Corporation, which runs New York’s canal system, including the historic Erie Canal. He has also served as Chairman of the Long Island Power Authority, the third largest municipal electric distribution system in the United States.
Mr. Steinberg has also served as General Counsel of hedge fund ZAIS Group Holdings, Inc. and as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Prudential Equity Group and Prudential Securities, Inc.
He has been a member of the Board of Regents of Georgetown University, an Overseer of the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences and Chair of the Committee on Federal Regulation of the Securities Industry Association.
