James K. Glassman has 40 years of experience in media and government. He served as U.S. Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy, the top global strategic communications position in government, and as Chairman of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, which is responsible for all U.S. government media outreach to foreign countries through such brands as Voice of America and Radio Free Europe. Ambassador Glassman was also publisher of The Atlantic Monthly, editor and co-owner of Roll Call, and host of three weekly TV series on PBS and CNN. He has published three books, and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and many other publications. For 11 years, he was the chief investment columnist for the Washington Post and recently completed a term as a member of the SEC’s Investor Advisory Committee.
